RB Salzburg not rule out January sale of Liverpool target Noah Okafor

Manchester City and Milan are also in the race to sign Noah Okafor.

According to Sky Germany, Liverpool are interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg star Noah Okafor.

The 22-year-old has already scored 10 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions at the Red Bull Arena. He has also scored against top teams in Champions League like Chelsea and AC Milan.

His current contract is set to expire in 2024 but he is expected to depart Salzburg soon with several clubs interested.

Manchester City and Milan are also in the race to sign this young sensation. Leeds United showed their interest too in the Swiss player.

Jurgen Klopp’s side already have several attacking options, including Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino. But, injuries really hurt them during the Premier League.

Okafor would be a great deal for the Reds. He is just 22 years old and he can be nourished well at Anfield.

And as per Sky Germany, he could be available for around €35-40 million, which is affordable for Liverpool.

And Salzburg director Freund has said a winter transfer could be on the cards.

“I think a bit more will happen in the transfer market than in recent years,” Freund told Sky Austria.

“Okafor really took off last year.

“I hope that he plays a good World Cup, then the Noah Okafor stock can become very interesting. I am not ruling it out.”
