Liverpool told to sign Man City Jack Grealish.

Man United legend Rio Ferdinand believes Liverpool should hijack Man City’s £100million pursuit of Jack Grealish.

The 25-year old attacking midfielder has been offered a new contract at Aston Villa worth more than £150,000 a week in order to convince him to stay.

Ferdinand would to love to see Grealish at Man United but United’s midfield options are flooded at the moment.

Man City are the favourites to sign Grealish this summer but Ferdinand insists Liverpool to lure away the Aston Villa captain from the Etihad.

‘There aren’t many breathtaking footballers around anymore who produce breathtaking moments and make you go, “wow that was crazy”,’ Ferdinand said.

‘Jack Grealish does that. He’s just a phenomenal player. If I’m Liverpool, I’m going to get him. If I’m Man City, I’m taking him.

‘Because he improves them. He improves Chelsea, 100 per cent. Whoever’s got the money to pay for him, do it.

‘If Liverpool bought him it would be a bolt out of the blue. He improves them and then it’s like, “wow”‘.
