Robertson believes the gap is too high with City in pursuit of League title

Robertson is not thinking about the Premier League title.

Liverpool full-back Robertson is not thinking about the current position in the Premier League table. He feels Man City are too far away from Liverpool.

Klopp’s side defeated Leicester City 2-0 in the Premier League on Thursday and secured three valuable points. Despite this victory, the Reds are nine points behind Manchester City with one game in hand.

The Liverpool defender believes they must close that gap before they can even think about calling it a title race.

Robertson was talking to BT Sport: “The only way we can answer the questions is by getting results.

“The gap is still too big. We just have to keep putting pressure on them. We have to look after ourselves.

“It will be an exciting run-in hopefully as we are still fighting in four competitions.”

If Liverpool secures a win in the next game, the gap will be 6 points and later, they can be a contender if City drops points in upcoming weeks. Even the last season, City were behind to United in January and in the end, they grabbed the title.
