Liverpool’s Andy Robertson has become a conversation piece of great debates lately.
The Scottish captain is known for his hard work and excellent quality of play but now it seems talks about him by other people are unlikely to end.
Redknapp had recently said that the Scottish captain’s form was being hampered by a lack of quality in the national team and now Scotland coach Steve Clarke has hit back at the pundit.
Clarke said, “He’s a paid pundit, he’s got his opinion and Jamie also has a Liverpool connection so maybe he’s tried to protect Andy a little bit.
“The way Liverpool play, they get it in to the wide areas and play so high up the pitch.
Robertson was recently criticized by many fans for Scotland’s poor performance despite being one of the better players on the pitch.
Klopp had launched himself in protection of the hard working player by saying that Robertson cannot win matches from left back and yet the wing back looked most likely to do so.
Klopp also went on to say that Robertson gives it his all every time he puts on the national team jersey.
