Liverpool are currently two points clear at the top of the Premier League table and Sadio Mane believes it is imperative for the Reds to win every single one of their games from now on.

The Senegal international who is the joint top scorer for the Merseyside outfit has been in blistering form this season, leading their charge against City.

Pep Guardiola’s side does have a game in hand which would allow them to retake the spot at the top if they win against Cardiff City on Wednesday.

Mane harped on the fact that his team will have to maintain a perfect record for the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign. He said, “To be honest, I think we need to win all of the games, even if it will not be easy. But we still can win every game because we are a good team and we play very well.”

“That’s what makes you more motivated and makes everyone say: ‘Let’s go, we can do it,’ so I think it’s always important.

“This is a very, very good sign and I think everything is possible, so let’s do it and win it.”

“Sometimes it’s difficult after the international break because we had three sessions together, or two I think, so everybody was a little bit away sometimes.

“Now we are back and we start with a win, I think it’s very important. We have three or four more days to train together, be like before and go again.”
