Sadio Mane is pushing Liverpool to sign Serie A player Kalidou Koulibaly.
The 28-year-old Reds winger is determined that Koulibaly would be an excellent choice and addition to the squad. The Napoli centre-back is also in Mane’s national Senegalese team.
Mane, 28, said: “Kalidou Koulibaly is an excellent defender, and one of the world’s best in his position.
“I would be very happy to play alongside him at club level, as I have known him for years.”
Jurgen Klopp also is on good terms with the Napoli player. Other than Liverpool, other clubs which are actively recruiting him are the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea – along with la Liga giants Barcelona, Real Madrid – and Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.
The winger continued: “We first got to know one another at Metz before meeting up once more in the Senegal national team.
“No club could refuse the chance to have Koulibaly in their squad.
“In any event, it would be a pleasure for me to play for Liverpool together with him.
“He would be more than welcome here.”
