Earlier, Klopp spoke to the media that Salah was on track to resume "parts of training" this week. It will be his first Liverpool appearance since New Year's Day.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mo Salah had to be separated during training because of this heated exchange. Two Liverpool players, Ibrahima Konate and Harvey Elliott, had to break up the pair after they seemed to argue during a practice before their crucial Champions League match against PSG.

In an internet video released by sports agency Hayters TV, Alexander-Arnold is seen clapping his hands and pointing to Salah, who seems to be responding to his remarks. Then, he is seen to be approached by the Egyptian winger, who gives him a light shove. In response, he moves back toward Salah.

Elliott can then be seen restraining Salah as Ibrahima Konate moves the England full-back away by wrapping an arm around him.  After that, there are no further incidents shown in the video as the teammates leave one another. Attempting to maintain their 1-0 lead over PSG, the Reds are hoping to reach the Champions League quarterfinals at the time of the incident.

Two of Liverpool stars were separated by team-mates in training

The nature of the conversation between the two is unknown, but it’s obvious from the camera footage that something wasn’t quite right. Most likely, the argument started during a competitive training session. Liverpool has work to go to guarantee their place in the final eight, so Slot will be hoping the two can share a kiss and patch things up before PSG’s visit. Virgil van Dijk, Salah, and Alexander-Arnold are all nearing the end of their Liverpool contracts, so it comes off the field.

Ever since he joined Liverpool, Slot has been asked about it, and there is not much time left to finalize agreements for the three. The right-back Alexander-Arnold has been strongly linked to a transfer to Real Madrid, one of the biggest teams in La Liga. Speaking about the transfer, former Real Madrid and Liverpool star Steve McManaman said he could see why Alexander-Arnold would decline a new deal at Anfield.
