Salah deny budging on new contract demands in Liverpool talks

Salah has made it clear through his adviser that he does not believe his demands to be excessive.

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has made it clear to the board he won’t budge on his new contract demands. According to the Mirror, Salah is refusing to reconsider his belief that he is worth £400,000-a-week to Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp insists talks over a new contract for the Egyptian are heading in a positive direction. The 29-year-old understands what his value is to the Anfield club.

It will cost Reds in excess of £80million to pay him what he wants over the course of a new four-year deal.

But the Egypt international knows that he would earn even more if the club tried to cash in on him in the summer. His contract will expire in 2023 and he still has 18 months.

The player has made it clear through his adviser during negotiations that he does not believe his demands to be excessive.

Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, is using figures of Ronaldo and De Bruyne as a marker in talks with the Merseyside club. The Portugal man earns £500,000-a-week at Manchester United and Kevin De Bruyne signed a new contract at City last year worth £400,000-a-week.
