Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for December.

Liverpool had a remarkable month, winning all of their 8 matches with Salah scoring seven goals. The Egyptian forward notched a hat-trick against Bournemouth while scoring in Liverpool’s league wins over Wolves, Newcastle and Arsenal. Salah also scored the winner for Liverpool in their Champions League group game against Napoli which helped the Reds advance to the last 16 of the tournament.

In addition to his goals, Salah also provided four assists in December. Salah beat out the likes of Harry Kane, Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Ricardo Pereira to win the award.

The 26-year old is also up for this month’s Premier League Player of the Month award alongside fellow Reds teammate Virgil van Dijk.

This season, Salah hasn’t been as lethal as he was last season, scoring 16 goals in 28 matches so far, 5 less than he scored last season at this point. However, he has still delivered for Liverpool when needed. Salah will be hoping to produce another fine performance in tonight’s FA Cup encounter against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium.
