Mohamed Salah has been named the Northwest Football Awards Premier League Player of the 2020/21 Season.

The 29-year-old was in top form for Liverpool in the previous season and his performance in the second phase of the league helped the Reds to finish in the top four. The Egyptian star scored 22 goals in Premier League 2020/21.

Liverpool struggled last season and they were not in the race for Champions League qualification but 29-year-old helped them to get this. The Egypt international is in prime form in the current season as well.

The 29-year-old is the leading goal scorer of season 2021/22 with 11 goals and he also has the most assists (7). It means, he has been involved in Liverpool’s 18 goals this season.

Jurgen Klopp has earlier named him as the best player in the world and also said that he should also be awarded this year’s Ballon d’Or. Liverpool will be without him in January as he will be heading to the African Cup of Nations.
