Salzburg’s Takumi Minamino to become part of Liverpool by January

Liverpool has agreed to a deal with Salzburg player Takumi Minamino and has won the race over Manchester United.

The best part about Takumi Minamino is his release clause – it is only 7 million euros.

Liverpool has a great relationship with RB Salzburg – especially off-field, in spite of being on-field rivals. This has helped propel the transfer deal for Minamino even further and pushed past the masses of clubs that came forward to sign him in the upcoming transfer window in January.

Christoph Freund, Austrian champions director, revealed this week that the 24-year-old is prepared to quicken his improvement at one of Europe’s big clubs following five years of administration.

“He is an outstanding player with an outstanding personality,” Freund said. “The big clubs have been watching him and if I was them, I’d have no hesitation to sign him. Takumi is ready to make the next step in January.”

Liverpool has always kept a watchful eye on RB Salzburg’s players, since in the past, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita has also come from.

For Klopp, Minamino fits the bill as a hardworking player with a great attitude. If all goes well, he will probably play in the Liverpool match against Everton on January 5th.
