Wayne Rooney knows a thing or two about winning the Premier League.
He has won plenty of them and has now given his opinion about who is about to win the next one!
The former United striker told talkSPORT: “I think it is City or Liverpool [for the title].
He ofcourse is not ruling out the Blues as well: “Chelsea are making a lot of signings, some good signings.
He does not however think his old team can mount a title challenge: “Man United have a lot of potential in the players they have got but I still think they are a year away.
“Chelsea with the new signings will possibly need a year to get everyone on the same song sheet.
However, his most controversial opinion came next. Everyone knows that the two biggest names now linked with Liverpool is Thiago and Messi with Manchester City!
While everyone is waiting patiently to see where Messi goes, Rooney thinks Thiago can make a bigger difference than Lionel Messi!
“So I do think it is between City and Liverpool. And if Liverpool get Thiago from Bayern Munich, I think it is done [the title].
“That is a better signing than Messi going to Man City.”
