According to reports from British media, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge in the summer. Sturridge has made 20 appearances under Jurgen Klopp this season, scoring 4 goals and providing an assist so far. He has started only 6 times for Liverpool this season so far.

Sturridge’s current contract at Liverpool runs out in the summer and he hasn’t signed a new contract yet. There’s no telling whether Liverpool will provide him a new contract or not. Even if Sturridge does sign a new contract, he will struggle to find a place in the starting XI due to the presence of Salah, Mane and Firmino.

Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing Sturridge as a potential summer target. With Harry Kane currently out, Spurs might need a suitable backup in case such instances occur next season.

The fact that Sturridge has an injury history might discourage Spurs to sign him.

However, even if Spurs do sign Sturridge, he will struggle to find playing time due to the presence of Harry Kane.
