Why Liverpool Need To Sign Jack Butland Right Now!

Liverpool have been urged to sign Jack Butland from Stoke City to solve their keeper conundrum.

Alisson Becker’s injury has led to serious issues within just one game of his absence.

His back-up, Adrian was woeful in last week’s 7-2 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa and that is hardly a new spectacle. He has been exposed in goals many times before as well. The defeat on Sunday was a major cry for Jurgen Klopp to make improvements.

Stoke City’s Jack Butland is held in high regards and he could be available until the domestic market closes on 16 October. Former England custodian, Robinson told Football Insider, “If Alisson is going to be out for that length of time Liverpool are going to have to look at it.

“While the domestic window is still open we may see Liverpool do some business. There is a lot of good goalkeepers that are not playing football right now.

“I can see Liverpool signing the likes of Jack Butland on a short-term deal. They need somebody like that. A player that has the experience of handling big games. Somebody of that ilk.”

Butland is 27 years old and has 9 caps to his name for the Three Lions. He is a proven Premier League player and deserves to play his prime in the highest tier of English football.
