Why Liverpool Should Bring Back Philippe Coutinho

Liverpool have been told to bring Philippe Coutinho back to Anfield by former Red, Phil Thompson.

Reports claim that Barcelona are open to selling the Brazilian at half the price they originally signed him for.

Chelsea and Arsenal are heavy contenders from the Premier League but Liverpool have been told to join that race. Coutinho’s talents have flopped at Camp Nou and he is looking for a return to England. After all, it was in the Premier League where he played his best football.

“They are probably looking at that creative midfield player,” Thompson told Sky Sports (via Onefootball). “Would you take Coutinho back? I would, in a heartbeat. I think he’s a creative genius. You look back at his Liverpool career and he was absolutely terrific. He’s not too old and I still think he could come back.”

Coutinho is no doubt, a top playmaker. Unfortunately, he has fallen out of sorts at both institutions, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. At the right club, he could return to his very best. Klopp was originally very reluctant to let the 28-year-old leave Anfield but eventually succumbed to the player’s wishes.

He knows how to get the best out of him and should at least consider bringing him back. His creativity and attacking intelligence could put Liverpool over the top in terms of talent.
